About

Temporarily suspending my “I’m fairly tight lipped..ask me what you want to know.” attitude, here are a few things you may or may have not known about me:

  1. I can have an ego of sorts at times. It is rarely visible, but when it is…everyone knows it.
  2. My passions are writing and photography. I’ve been writing for years and it can be quite theraputic at times. I’ve always loved taking pictures, I’m starting to come into my own with my black & white photography.
  3. I am avid about beatmining, some call it crate digging. But since I’m not going through any crates, I refer to myself as a digital digger. I take pride in being able to tell you what sample the latest Ghostface Killah song uses.
  4. Starting when I was a young lad, I was always what my friend and I call an “achievement whore”. This means that I’m out to have the entire alphabet behind my name. (i.e. BS, BA, Ph. D, etc)
  5. I consider myself to be a lifelong learner, whether in school or not. I feel as if I can always learn something.
  6. When I was a child I wanted to be a rapper. My name was MC Tim. I used to hang with the older kids and they all called me Tiny Tim for some reason.
  7. I’m a bit persistient at times. I’ve found that sometimes this can be a good thing and at other times…not so good. It just depends.
  8. I really like to travel, even though I haven’t done it in awhile. Unless you can count quick trips to Cleveland.
  9. I have strong opinions on several things affecting the Black community, and some of them may not sit well with people.
  10. I’m one of those people that tend to “love hard”. Consequently, sometimes it leads to me having to hurt hard, but as the French say: c’est la vie…
  11. My favorite color is green. Although brown and yellow come in closely behind. I think I look nice in subtle shades of brown…blue as well.
  12. My personality can be rather dynamic. At times I can be quiet and very observant, at other times, the vibrant life of the party. It just depends.
  13. When it comes to academics, I take great pride in what I do. I’m a perfectionist of sorts. This being the case, it tends to lead to a few moments of frustration.
  14. I’d like to think that I’m good under pressure, but this is not always the case. I will say that I do my best work when my back is against the wall though.
  15. I consider myself to be fairly wise. I have a lot of varied experiences that have contributed to rounding out who I am, and I’m still learning.
  16. I can find humor in just about anything, although sometimes its not in the best taste. That gets under people skin sometimes, I can imagine.
  17. I really enjoy cooking. I’m not the best by any means, but it’s something that allows me to be creative and quell my hunger at the same time. How dope is that?
  18. I often envisioned myself going into politics, I’m in the process of determining where I stand on various issues. I think my first step would be City Council, in whatever city that may be.
  19. I am a fantastic listener. I always have an open ear for anyone who has something on their mind, wants to talk, and needs advice. I’m good at that type of thing.
  20. Many people have said that they have never really seen me smile. But I do it in varying levels almost everyday. I don’t laugh in front of people often though. Maybe I should loosen the chains on that.

These are just a few things, I could sit here all day and make an even longer list, but I don’t think anyone should be subject to that inhumanity. I guarantee that by reading this you have picked up at least one or two things that you didn’t know about me before, if not more. Thanks for taking the time to read them.
